Lebron James “King of Social Media”,Cleveland,The Decision to South Beach Pt1

No athlete in any professional sport has had so much impact on social media than Lebron James, He creates and generates conversations among fans on news and social media all over the world. Large volume of news are mostly in the United States and China. James’s dominance in the Americas social media is pocket change compare to that of China and the rest of Asia. James, entered the league in the 2003 NBA draft regarded right from high school as the hair apparent to be “The Next Michael Jordan”.

Not many have come close to replace “Air Jordan” after his illustrious career with the dominant Chicago Bulls of the late 80s and 90s. James was selected first overall draft pick by his hometown team the “Cleveland Cavaliers”, a monumental tasks to have for any 18-Year-Old not only that,the NBA needed a  superstar image to replace Michael Jordan. James did not disappoint he responded by increasing traffic on his game and NBA to discussions on newspapers, social media, blogs and sports networks.

James joined twitter in 2010 and after few short hours had nearly 19,000 followers, according to twitter as of current has 12.4 Million http://twittercounter.com/pages/100 followers, only Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kaka of AC Milan has more followers among pro sport athletes (Katy Perry leads at 52 Million followers.)
